Falconer's Pouch

A Very Period-Correct Style

Another style pulled form historic source material!
Despite our calling it a Falconer's Pouch this style is seen
in many depictions used by commoner and noble alike
for daily-wear purposes.  Variations were used by falconers.
See period illustrations below left.

The body of the pouch is made up of soft leather and is
bound around a metal hoop creating a ready hand opening.
A drawstring top closes the mouth of the bag, while stout
belt leather creates the suspension loop.

When worn it rides fairly flat with the mouth exposed for
easy access, as seen in the picture below.
A simple knot of the drawstring secures it from roguish fingers!
For Daily Use or Court Wear!
Choose from Suede, Garment or
Elk Leather colors, and from Nickel
or Brass hardware.

About  9" wide x 7.5" deep with
a 5" wide opening around the ring.

The color illustration is from a
period manuscript.
Note the falcon's food being kept
in the pouch, hung from the perch.
